Barn Burger- Złota 9

Now I should give out a warning before starting this review. In terms of nutrition, high caloric burger joints are probably not healthy. They have large amounts of fat in their meals from both meat and dressing along with a high salt count. You may want to improve your food intake at these establishments and  include swapping to lower calorie drinks (zero sugar) and adding veggies to your meal. All that would probably make your life longer, but also make your life less tasty.

But while you are waiting for your eventual death from cardiac arrest let's go to Barn Burger on Złota 9 and see what life tastes like. Any restaurant that has a neon pig in the window and puns galore for burger names can't bad.

When the order was served and we tasted the first bites, we immediately realised that we had come to the right place. The buns are baked in the premises, the meat is of the highest quality, and the vegetables with the sauce created a perfect whole. The taste was phenomenal and we immediately knew that it was worth coming here again. That was 3 years ago and we've been going back ever since.

The question is whether this is the best burger in Warsaw? Let's look at strong points vs bad:

Good things:

  • An English menu and staff that speak English
  • Huge burgers. Come hungry, leave full.
  • Mascarpone cheese and bacon is amazing!
  • Hilarious decor.
  • Menu updated with monthly burgers

Not so good:

  • The place is small and fills up rather quick. If you see a free table you need to grab it ASAP. Lines are normal.
  • Beer is rather pricey.
  • Fries are rather soggy from too much oil.
  • Service is what it is. These guys could be a bit more friendly
  • The monthly burgers are innovative, but often hit or miss. The 'Fat Bob' for the month of August isn't my cup of tea, as the Nduja goes down hard.
In the end though we would recommend. I haven't found a better place in Warsaw, but some thing coukld be fixed of course. Prices seem to constantly be going up every time I go (about every 6 months) but hey this is Poland with 16% inflation.

The place gets 4 of 5 spent rifle cartridges.
