ŹRÓDŁO - Targowa 81

A visit to ŹRÓDŁO (i.e. The Source) is a treat for anyone who appreciates Polish cuisine reimagined with a modern, creative touch. The menu offers a fresh take on traditional flavors, and nearly every dish we tried was both inventive and deeply satisfying.

The highlights of the meal were unforgettable: the tomato dish, the Polish dumplings, and the Polish cheese dessert stood out in particular. The dumplings were especially impressive—pillowy, delicate, and easily among the best we’ve had. The cheese selection was equally memorable, featuring some of the best Bursztyn ( hope I said wrote that right :) ) we’ve tasted. The tatar was also well-executed and worth trying.

That said, not every dish hit the mark. The crawfish, unfortunately, was a disappointment—lacking both flavor and substance, and not quite justifying its place on an otherwise strong menu.

The wine program is adventurous, with unique Polish and Czech selections that pair beautifully with the food. While some of the wines lean toward the pricier side for Warsaw, the quality and originality make up for it. There are also some non-alcoholic options, though expanding this selection would be a welcome improvement.

Service throughout the evening was excellent—friendly, relaxed, and genuinely attentive. The staff offered thoughtful recommendations that enhanced the overall experience. The atmosphere is another standout feature: cozy, welcoming, and filled with greenery that adds a distinctive charm.

Even though we didn’t order extensively on this visit, everything we tried left a strong impression. From the outstanding staff to the creative dishes and curated wine list, ŹRÓDŁO delivers a top-notch dining experience. It’s an easy five-star destination in Warsaw, and one we’ll definitely return to.
